The fault in our laptops

We had an unexpected holiday today - Raksha Bandhan. I'd thought there won't be any holidays in CEPT other than Diwali and semester break. Last year college was working even on Gandhi Jayanti. Lack of holidays is one of the many things CEPT is known for. Nevermind. I'd thought I will write only on working days but while you're a student at CEPT, when holidays are working days. I don't do that often, but yesterday I ended up working pretty much the entire day (it was Sunday!)

I had my first proper submission of the Semester. The audio clip and map and logo. I'd thought recording the audio and editing and putting everything together would be an easy task, but it took time. Almost 4 hours. One of the main reasons being, my brother's laptop crashed (he edited it for me) and we had to start from scratch thrice!! This time it wasn't the laptop's fault. The software we were using was a heavy one and the laptop isn't young anymore. He's old and weak. So maybe it's "Fault In Our Software" I don't know. My brother behaved like a total darling yesterday. If it wasn't for him, I would have simply sat and cried my eyes out (this is a new habit that I developed after joining CEPT). Even after my brother helping me with stuff, I did freak out. Submission deadline was 9 pm and we were still editing the audio at 7 pm. I'd made the map, but the logo was pending along with a questionnaire for another exercise. Luckily, others were struggling too. Therefore, the deadline was extended until 12 am. (This was very very unexpected. Ma'am had clearly mentioned in the previous class that she's very particular about submissions and won't extend them at any cost. She even told us not to attend class the next day if we submitted late.) I submitted everything by 11 pm (after chilling for almost an hour in between).

I'm happy with the way my map and logo turned out (I took inspiration for my logo from some things I saw on Google). However, I'm not very happy with the sound clip. I feel I sound tired and sleepy. Quoting myself,  ऑडियो सुनने वाला सो जाएगा. I kind of realized this towards the end. By then I was tired and also lazy to d it all over again. I think I did an okay job. Not very good, not very bad.

We won't have studio till Thursday. There's a submission due on Wednesday and one tomorrow morning, which I already submitted. I have to work on the Wednesday वाला thing. And a small presentation also. I got pictures for it today (I kind of made that my excuse to get out of my house. Who are we kidding? Lockdown completely sucks). I'll have to compose the sheet tomorrow. 

Tomorrow there's elective. I'm looking forward to it. Historian Shirin Mehta is going to talk to us. And history has always been my absolute favourite subject.

The principal focus of my logo is to represent people of 3 different faiths co-existing peacefully in the same neighbourhood.
